Apple wins against Imatec in lawsuit

For the second time, Apple has successfully defended itself against plaintiff's accusing the company of using patented technology for ColorSync. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld a lower court's decision to throw out Imatec's case against Apple.

After first stating that he would cease development of VueScan for the Mac platform due to a disagreement with a representative from Apple's Developer Relations, Ed Hamrick says he will now continue developing his software for Mac OS 8/9 and OS X due to a "barrage of e-mails" from Mac users.
