Keyspan revamps USB adapters

Keyspan has revamped its USB PDA Adapter and its High Speed USB Serial Adapter. The USB PDA Adapter, priced at $39, now has the ability to hot sync PDA devices at up to 115 Kbps. In addition, the enhanced adapter now works with Psion organizers. The High Speed Serial Adapter, which continues to offer data rates up to 230 Kbps, now includes a 3-foot detachable USB cable, and is compatible with an even broader range of devices at a price tag of $59.

Formac offers $399 DVD-RAM drive

Formac has lowered pricing on its Mac-targeted DVD-RAM drive to $399, for a limited time. The FireWire drive offers the standard DVD-RAM capacity of 9.4 GB, is capable of playing DVD videos, and inlcudes ProDisc software that lets users format, partition and encrypt media.

Yesterday we noted the release of Mac OS 9.2.1 for OS 9.1 (and later), as well as Steve Jobs' opening keynote at Apple Expo where "no new hardware" is expected. Other items included $50 coupons at the Apple Store, a workaround for the QuickTime/Windows bug, Apple's plan to exhibit at UK MacExpo, Blizzard's Dialbo II v1.09 patch, the upcoming opening of Apple's Chicago retail location, and Sony's new photoprinter, 5MP digital camera, and Cybershot digital cameras.
