Miglia Technology has announced immediate availability of its Alchemy ATA133 RAID PCI card. The new card provides 133MB/s on each of its two channels allowing up to four separate drives to be connected inside the Mac (2 drives on the internal bus, 2 on the ATA card), as well as support for RAID 0. The Alchemy ATA133 RAID is both OS X and OS 9 compatible.
Trinfinity Software has released Golden Key 1.0.1, a minor update to its tool for unlocking multiple files in a drag-and-drop fashion. The new release fixes a bug that caused only the first file of a group of files dropped on Golden Key to be operated on (locked or unlocked), and includes a new set of icons to match different Mac stylings. Macworld UK reports that Apple will host a DVD-authoring event, already commonplace in the United States, at the Watershed Media Centre in Bristol. The event, which kicks off at 9:30 AM, will feature in-depth sessions of DVD Studio Pro, iDVD, and Final Cut Pro.
