Plantronics today released MX100-s, a dual-purpose headset/stereo headphone device that can be connected simultaneously to the Apple's iPod and a mobile phone, allowing consumers to answer a phone call while listening to their iPod. The headset offers a secure fit and versatility with twin connectors: one plugs into the iPod and the other into a mobile phone. A single cord links them to the headset/headphone with stereo earbuds, while A switch on the headset cord allows users to choose between the two inputs and a single volume control works for both devices. The headset leverages Plantronics' AcuSpeak microphone technology to deliver clear, crisp conversations over the phone. It is available for $40 (at retailers and the Apple Store).
