TransDock transmits music, outputs video

DLO today announced its new TransDock, an update to its all-in-one TransPod solution that transmits audio content from any dockable iPod using a car's existing FM radio and 12-volt power outlet. In addition to a number of innovative upgrades and enhancements, it now offers a distinctive industrial design and an innovative video-output feature that lets users play their iPod videos through a car's mobile video system while transmitting the video's soundtrack to the car stereo. The TransDock also securely cradles and charges the iPod while offering users full control of bass, treble and volume settings from the car's console. It also holds up to four programmable presets to help users jump to commonly used frequencies.

The TransDock also now includes a high-powered antenna, a more versatile mounting arm, interchangeable faceplates and a built-in USB power charger. The all-new DLO TransDock for iPod will be priced at $100 (available now for pre-order) and will begin shipping in March 2007.

"The USB port is a really smart addition. People can finally plug in their RAZR phones, or anything else that uses a USB charger -- without interrupting the music or video," explained DLO Creative Director Andrew Green. "Another great design detail is having interchangeable faceplates. The TransDock comes with two, but there's a big selection on our Web site so that people can coordinate the look with their iPods or their car interiors."
