LG unveils 'Prada' iPhone competitor
LG today introduced its KE850 "Prada phone," a cellular handset that is controlled almost entirely via a touch-screen. The device was designed in tandem with the Italian fashion designer and is said to not only bring the design to the exterior but also the Flash-based interface, which is consciously drawn in high contrast black and white and selectively fades out icons when not in use. Basic call buttons adorn the bottom of the phone where Apple's iPhone features a single 'Home' button, and LG says that every menu is controlled through the touch-screen. The Korean cellular phone manufacturer plans to launch the phone as soon as late February, according to Electronista, which would beat Apple's iPhone to market by several months.
