Sony iPod Boombox

Continuing to expand its young range of iPod accessories, Sony today released a pair of docking iPod stereo systems. The C1iP (pictured) clock radio both plays the music from most of Apple's digital players and uses the devices for an alarm function, waking owners up to either an iPod's music or the more familiar AM/FM radio and buzzer options. Its wireless remote controls the iPod's menu system as well as the radio itself. Sony plans to ship black and white versions of the C1iP in August for $100.

The company's first iPod boombox, the S2iP, has also been unveiled. It too includes an AM/FM radio and has a retractable dock, but gains a CD player that will load regular and CD-R albums when the iPod isn't avaialable. It also sports an aux-in jack for piping audio from virtually any other portable device. S2iP units ship only in black and will be available in the same August timeframe as the C1iP and at an identical $100 price.

    Wow, 25%!

Now if it was 25% of the supply of milk, or cookies, or something we need, it would be an issue. So someone is selling a lot of stuff that takes flash chips, good for them.
