NewTek ships TriCaster Studio system

NewTek has begun shipping TriCaster Studio, its turnkey portable live production and virtual set system designed to provide all the capabilities of a live remote production truck. TriCaster Studio features component video, balanced audio, six video inputs with advanced switching features, live virtual sets, multiple upstream effects, dual virtual VCR's, and more in a 16-pound enclosure. The defile supports AVI, DV, MPEG-2, DVD, QuickTime, and MP4 file formats which makes it compatible with Mac OS X as well as iPods and PlayStation Portable devices. NewTek's TriCaster Studio is priced at $10,000, and can record up to 20 hours of AVI.

Virtual Sets

The proprietary virtual set system in TriCaster Studio, LiveSet allows users to assign separate virtual sets independently to all six camera inputs and the dual integrated VCR's. In addition, each input has an independent LiveMatte module eliminating the need for expensive hardware to connect each source to the system. Each virtual set supports virtual cameras with multiple angles and zoom levels with support for secondary video sources such as reflections, refractions and bump maps.

Please. Slow the heck down and look at what you are typing/auto-accepting from your spell checker.

I'm surely gonna add this item in my cart as soon as I've started my 4x4 project... I know this would make a difference upon other of my soon to be jeep 4x4 parts...

It's a fun car for around town. It is a high-ish vehicle so makes you 'feel' safer. I get around 14 mpg, less in the hills.

Seems to have no real power, very slow to 'kick in' when you need the speed.

My biggest beef is that although 'trail rated' and a 4x4 it has very little clearance in reality and I scrape the bottom a lot. It makes for a very slow journey in the mountains. I cannot see this manufacturers claim of 10"... it is a lot less.

I have a ranch in the hills in Oaxaca, Southern Mexico so I needed a car with a good off road capability. This car does not have it. I assure you.

Buy it for fun, DO NOT buy the 4x4 version for it is a waste of money. Buy it for your daughter to drive around shopping.
