Belkin debuts cases for new, revised iPods

Belkin today unveiled what it says are the first cases for Apple's revised iPod nano and iPod classic, as well as the company's newly introduced iPod touch. Belkin's Sport Armband Plus for iPod nano, iPod classic, and iPod touch features breathable water-wicking "Coolmax" material alongside an included cable capsule to help manage and store earphones. The Sport Armband features a pocket for key or earbud storage and is water-resistant, while Belkin's Remix Acrylic case offers "true-sense" click wheel functionality from within a thin and compact polycarbonate enclosure. The Remix Metal case also features true-sense click wheel functionality with machine-etched graphical patterns throughout the case's aluminum face cabinet. Belkin is offering its Remix Metal cases in silver, black, blue, and pink.

The Leather Sleeve case includes a unique one-seam design that hugs the iPod to protect it from everyday scratches, as well as a soft suede lining and a Velcro strap attachment. Each Leather Sleeve offers access to the hold switch and dock connector, and includes screen protectors for the click-wheel as well as the screen. Leather Sleeve cases are available in black, chocolate, and cameo pink.

iPod nano, classic, and touch owners can also select the Leather Folio case in black/chocolate, pink/chocolate, or persimmon/bone color combinations. The Silicone for iPod nano serves as a form-fitting case with an extra layer of rugged silicone available in black, pink, and blue.

The company's Sport Armband Plus for iPod nano, iPod classic, and iPod touch will sell for $30 alongside the Sport Armband and Remix Acrylic cases for iPod touch. Belkin's Remix Metal case for iPod classic, Leather Sleeve for iPod touch, and Leather Folio cases for iPod touch will also ship for $30. The Remix Acrylic and Remix Metal cases for iPod nano are priced at $25, as are the Leather Sleeve and Leather Folio cases for iPod nano. Belkin's Sport Armband for iPod nano and iPod classic will ship for $20 alongside the Silicone case for iPod touch. Finally, the company's Silicone case for iPod nano will sell for $15.
