JS8 Media releases QuartzCube 2
JS8 Media has released QuartzCube 2, an update to its configurable wide-angle rotating video cube software for Mac OS X. The latest release uses the HUD format in the inspector window, adds a cube rendering pause button to the toolbar, brings a snapshot item to the view menu, and improves Leopard compatibility. QuartzCube 2 is available for free, and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
The easy-to-use interface allows users to immediately apply different videos or still images to the faces of the cube, according to JS8 Media, and supports altering the tension of the roll axis to adjust the rotation of the video cube.
QuartzCube supports most popular video formats -- including QuickTime, MPEG 4, AVI, and others -- as well as various image formats. The software also allows users to save cube configurations and reload them at a later date.
