QuickTime 7.4 issues with After Effects, Premiere Pro
Adobe is recommending that users refrain from downloading and installing the latest QuickTime 7.4, which was released last week following the Macworld Expo keynote. According to the company, QuickTime 7.4 introduces serious incompatibility problems with both After Effects and Premiere Pro, which can prevent both programs from working properly. After Effects and Premiere Pro users can reportedly resolve this issue by utilizing Leopard's Time Machine and reverting their systems to a previous state.
Adobe recommends that users refrain from installing QuickTime 7.4 until Apple releases an updated version of QuickTime that specifically addresses After Effects and Premiere Pro incompatibility issues.
QuickTime 7.4 brought numerous bug fixes and support for the latest iTunes as well as fixes to several security issues.

itunes movie rental drm system, qt checks files every 10 min and interrupts file creation. sucks for content producers. you can use Pacifist to revert to 7.3.1 without having to reinstall the system.
Refrain from downloading LOL - a bit late.
