The study, which included a variety of iPods, showed that the devices did not emit enough of an electromagnetic field to interfere with pace makers, according to Reuters. The experiment used a saline-filled bag to simulate the human body, with a coil sensor designed to detect electromagnetic fields.

The program can also dial outgoing calls, and distribute incoming voicemail messages to individual people through e-mail. The last feature has been improved in v1.1, and now uses better compression for cleaner audio and smaller file sizes when listening on an iPhone or iPod touch.
