Briefly: Reviews of UPEK, Viewsonic, Dell products

In brief: MacNN has posted reviews of the UPEK Eikon Digital Privacy Manager and Viewsonic VX2245wm LCD display, while our sister site, Electronista, has reviewed the Dell XPS M1530. The Eikon Digital Privacy Manager by UPEK features 128-bit encryption for fingerprint processing, making it an ideal secure option for home and small business users, as well as users who insist on using File Vault to protect their data.

The Viewsonic VX2245wm LCD display features a built-in iPod dock and speakers, and a high-resolution 22-inch display, as well as a multimedia card reader and USB hub. Its 5-millisecond response time compliments gaming and multimedia content.

Dell's XPS N1530 features a minimalistic design, and is constructed from refreshingly different materials than most lower-cost laptops. For the price, the laptop offers a strong choice of main and graphics processors, but lacks the RAM needed for properly running Vista Ultimate and games.
