Feeder 1.5 supports Media RSS, new interface...

Reinvented Software recently unveiled Feeder 1.5, an update to its RSS editor application, introducing a number of upgraded features. Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard users will experience a brand new user interface, while both Tiger and Leopard operating systems will take advantage of password-less SFTP. Feeder now supports thumbnails for video podcasts with the Media RSS extension, and improves tagging for MP4 video. Item editing and Sparkle appcasts have also been improved. A 15-day trial of Feeder is available, as well as a free upgrade for existing users, while the full version sells for $30.

Safari to receive large speed boost in upcoming build...

Apple's Safari web browser is about to get a large speed boost, if the current development version is giving an accurate depiction of what users can expect in the finished browser. Seth Weintraub, a writer for Computerworld's Apple blog, has been testing WebKit – Apple's developer version of the KHTML-based browser – and says that performance typically peaks at 2.5 times that of Safari, even in its currently unoptimized state.

Apple is ready to rise in the stock market again, as the company rolls out international iPhone releases, which analysts predict may bring balance a slowing US economy. According to financial news site The Street, worldwide demand for the iPhone remains high, after a poll conducted by ChangeWave revealed that the iPhone is the most popular choice for those looking to buy within the next six months.

Apple prepares Munich retail location...

Apple is looking to open its first German retail store, which will be located in Munich, a city that is known for its expensive, high-end shopping. This will join over 200 stores that Apple currently has open in the US, Canada, the UK, Italy and Japan, after the company said in its financial report that it would open additional international stores throughout 2008. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, German retail analysts say that other suitable locations for a store would include Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, and Frankfurt.
