Macs, iPhone market share grow; take 2nd, 4th place

Apple's collective market share is rising, according to a web traffic report posted by Net Applications, citing that Mac computers have about 7.46-percent share, and iPhones claim 0.14-percent. Windows sits on top of the list at 91.58-percent, which has slowly eroded from 92.91-percent in the year prior. The iPhone was listed as having a higher marketshare than that of the Playstation 3, Sun OS, Nintendo Wii, NetBSD, OpenBSD, and several other platforms.

Mac market share rose from 6.4-percent from a year ago, with iPhones formerly taking 0.04-percent share.

Apple is currently trying to reach a target of 10 million iPhones sold by the end of 2008, while industry analysts currently predict that Macs will be Apple's major source of revenue in the coming year.

"Mac market share rose from 6.4-percent from a year ago, with iPhones formerly taking 0.04-percent share."

Since iPhones weren't even sold a year ago, does that mean Steve Jobs made that many calls on his prototype?

The data didn't track cellphone calls; it tracks web usage. Your point is still valid, though; since it wasn't sold a year ago, this must be representing Steve Jobs's web surfing on his prototype.
