Adobe pulls Lightroom, Camera Raw updates

Adobe has taken the unusual step of withdrawing updates for two key pieces of photography software: Lightroom, its editing and management tool, and Camera Raw, its plug-in for support of RAW files. The principal issue is in the time stamping in EXIF information, as both Lightroom 1.4 and Camera Raw 4.4 may decide that files are out of sync with its own information, and impose their own (incorrect) stamp on the original file. Images are otherwise unaffected, and the XMP sidecar files and metadata should remain accurate.

Owners of Olympus cameras may encounter a problem with converting JPEG files to other formats, again under both pieces of software.

Adobe is recommending that users downgrade to Lightroom 1.3.1 and Camera Raw 4.3.1. For Lightroom, users must delete the application from the Application folder, as well as "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.pkg" from the Library/Receipts folder; Lightroom 1.3.1 is available here. Camera Raw can be fixed by following the manual installation instructions for 4.3.1.

i just upgraded to 1.4 and imported 200+ photos i took over the weekend.

so far i haven't seen any exif date/time issue. the date/time info of all my new photos seem correct. does this bug only occur under certain circumstances?
