Eos Wireless iPod speakers

Having announced it at the CES expo in January, IntelliTouch is now shipping its Eos wireless iPod speaker system. At the core is a base station, which provides 2.1-channel sound, using at its source any iPod or iPhone with Apple's standard USB dock connector; owners can alternately pipe in sound from the Shuffle, and other devices such as computers, through an auxiliary cable input. Output is enhanced through SRS WOW! technology.

The focus of the Eos system however is on its Wireless Stereo Speakers, which have the same sound capabilities as the base station but can repeat the signal at a distance; this allows the same sound to be heard in multiple locations, as far away as 150 feet. The enclosure is said to be properly sealed for both indoor and outdoor use, and a removable power supply lets users hang a satellite on a wall or place it on a flat surface.

A Core System bundle includes one base station, a satellite speaker and an IR remote for $250; a separate Wireless Stereo Speaker costs $130.
