Parallels posts Server for Mac Beta 4

Parallels has released the fourth beta of its Server for Mac software. The program provides hypervisor-based server virtualization, which helps save costs by supporting multiple platforms through the same hardware. Beta 4 is notable for reintroducing Leopard Server virtualization, which had been temporarily removed. The upgraded beta means that Leopard Server can once again be run under a virtual machine on XServe systems, or any other compatible Apple hardware.

Server for Mac runs both 32- and 64-bit platforms, and supports technologies such as multi-core CPUs and four-way guest SMP. A client or Server version of Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later is required, along with 2GB of RAM and 30GB of hard drive space for each virtual machine. The download is 153MB.

What of Desktop?

Parallels Desktop hasn't seen an update since January, are there going to be any more improvements to it, or are they just concentrating on a new major release?

Both - Parallels Desktop 3 will have a number of updates before it will go to the next major version.
