Briefly: iPlayMusic review

In brief: We have a review of iPlayMusic, ShadesCases for the iPhone have been released, the new iMacs have been benchmarked and a pink version of OtterBox is coming soon ... We have posted a review of iPlayMusic, which provides a Step-by-step Guide and QuickTime videos that show you the anatomy of a guitar, how to hold and tune it, plus many pages of chords and fingerings along with different music styles. Each section of the guide is matched with video, so that you can read and see exactly what you need to know. You can also export the videos to iTunes, to load onto your iPod. This is a handy feature so that you can review material on the go.

ShadesCases for iPhone releases

ShadesCases has announced the release of its cases for the iPhone. The new cases are now available to purchase online starting at $17. The new cases keep the same thin, sleek look as the original iPod cases - measuring only .4mm thin and weigh an airy 0.5ozs with built-in ultra-clear screen protection, while allowing you the ability to completely work the iPhone screen interface. The new cases will come in 11 different colors.

New iMacs benchmarked

Primate Labs takes a look at the performance of the new iMacs and determines which iMac offers the best price/performance ratio. They used Geekbench 2, our cross-platform benchmark, to measure the processor and memory performance of the new iMacs, concluding "If you’re looking for the best value in terms of raw processing power, the best iMac to get is the base model. Even after upgrading the RAM in the base model it’s still more cost-effective than the mid-range 20-inch iMac."

Pink version of OtterBox coming soon

OttherBox will soon offer limited edition pink "Strength" cases. OtterBox will donate 10 percent of the purchase price to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade to support access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer, with a focus on the medically underserved. The case will be aailable for the iPhone and iPod nano 3rd generation.
