A Sprint employee has allegedly posted an internal memo on SprintUsers citing that the telecommunications giant is imposing a 5GB bandwidth limit on transfer, or 300MB per month in off-network roaming. According to the employee, the limits would see service on July 13th, and would apply to both PAM and data card plans. The note seems to indicate that Vision and PowerVision packages would still retain their respective limits, unsusceptible to the 5GB limit.
The 5GB data limit puts Sprint, which has frequently used its true unlimited wireless data as a marketing tool, on the same plane as AT&T and Verizon, both of whom currently rely on monthly transfer caps for their computer-based wireless services.

I'm switching to AT&T
I have Sprint and AT&T 3g data cards, and had ended my AT&T service because I didn't like their limit on transfers. If Sprint is going to play "me too" than I am going to re-consolidate my card back into my AT&T service plan.
I probably don't use this much, but I don't like the direction this is heading and was voting with my dollars. The next thing you'll read is that the DSL and Cable companies plan to cap their data too. Now that everyone is hooked on unlimited data, how much do you think these clowns will charge for unlimited data once they get everyone used to having a cap?

Will this allow me to get out of my 2-year contract? I seem to remember reading that if your carrier modifies the terms of your contract, this is grounds to end it early on your part without having to pay any sort of early termination fee.
