Apple looks into iTunes
As a result of access to the Chinese iTunes Store being blocked by the government, an Apple official has come forward to comment on the matter, saying that an investigation is ongoing. According to MarketWatch, Apple China spokeswoman Huang Yuna reported the company is aware of the problem, but denies being able to add any clarity in the matter. It is uncertain whether access was blocked due to the release of a pro-Tibet music album, or the flurry of more than 400 comments between nationals and those for Tibet's freedom.
"We've noticed the problem. It's true that users may fail to log in to iTunes store right now," said the spokeswoman.
The album features music by outspoken artists like Sting, Dave Matthews, Moby, and Alanis Morissette, in an attempt to raise awareness of the Chinese government's activities in Tibet since 1951.

They may be a joke, but they own a ton of American debt. Guess a lot of countries would like to be so funny.

neither the matter the Tibet so trivial to let go in a joke. In all fairness tibet deserves to be free. Of all the people the only person that has persevered over teh ages is The Honorable Dalai Lama. We all must join hands and help the man who lives for non-violence and a friendly posture with China.
Remember there was a "frail" man of great strength named Mahatma Gandhi.

Itunes filtering

Just checked with a coworker in Shanghai and he said he is able to get to itunes NO issues from his home high speed connection as far as he is concerned there is no outage.Filtering in China is hit or miss.. I was there regularly over the last few years and sites would be filtered, then an hour later they would be accessible.I thought we were talking about iTunes filtering not politics.. Every country has it's problems, China has problems, no doubt but we're not perfect here either... If you think we are then you can easily find people in China who will think they are perfect too...
