New iPhone Apps

Three new iPhone apps have been released: a Star Trek-themed Tricorder for iPhone; a cord reference app for pianists, PianoChords; and Dashball, a puzzle game with break-out themed levels. The Tricorder app features visuals simulating vital signs and biological scans, geologic displays and radioactive scans. It uses OpenGL for its animations. It works with both the iPhone and the iPod touch and sells for $1.

PianoChords looks up musical chords with the touch of a key on its keyboard display, with support for 50 derived chords based on 12 keys. It works on both the iPhone and the iPod touch and costs $2.

Dashball is a puzzle-based iPhone game that utilizes break-out strategies to finish levels. It supports the iPhone's accelerometer for gameplay and works with both the iPhone and iPod touch. It is available now at the iTunes App Store for $4.
