WebMessenger Mobile extends OCS to iPhones
CallWave says it has released a new version of WebMessenger Mobile, tailored specifically for the iPhone and iPod touch. The software serves as an extension of Microsoft's Office Communications Server, which handles synchronous communications such as VoIP, instant messaging and conferencing, and links it with contact data from Active Directory.
WebMessenger allows users to connect to corporate instant messaging networks, as well as chat with contacts from networks like AIM, MSN, Google Talk and Reuters. The app is a free download from the App Store, but requires creating a WebMessenger login as well as talking with CallWave in order to configure corporate IM.
