Apps: Today, iWisdom, Slideshow Magic

  • Today 1.5 ($15) provides users an option for managing and organizing their iCal task and events into one window. Users can assign a keyboard shortcut that will toggle Today's visibility allowing them to quickly bring up the window when they need it. With Today 1.5, users can now add custom alarms to notify them of upcoming events and tasks. The update has also added support for the Growl notification framework. [Download - 3MB]

  • iWisdom 1.81 (free) is designed to help users manage and maintain a list of quotations and insightful ideas. The program tracks a set of data fields related to each quote, including author, source, year of publication, title and category. The update has addressed a fatal bug that was affecting new users.   • Slideshow Magic 5.0.9 ($20) allows users to save their slideshows as a Quicktime compatible video file. Users can also add their own audio tracks to the slideshow from within the application. The update has optimized internal images to support native PNG masks in one file. The update has also fixed several bugs and will no longer launch if Quicktime is not installed. [Download - 7.6MB]

  • Vienna 2.3.12302 (free) is an open source RSS/Atom newsreader that features article storage and management via an SQLite database. The latest update has fixed a bug that caused the application to crash when customizing the toolbar in Tiger. [Download - 4.1MB]

  • Permanent Eraser 2.3.4 (free) ensures that deleted data cannot be recovered by overwriting the data 35 times, scrambling the original file name and truncating the file size to nothing. The update has corrected a bug that would cause the program to stall after deleting 250 files as well as updated the application icon. [Download - 0.44MB]
