Ultimate Ears earphones

Headphone manufacturer Ultimate Ears on Wednesday announced it has added the Super.Fi 5 and Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5vi earphones to its range of universal-fit earphones. The new products are the first to feature a top-fire armature speaker design that, the company claims, provides a strong sound delivery while retaining a small form. The headphones feature a frequency response range of 15Hz to 15kHz and a maximum sound pressure level of 115dB.

To let users find a proper and comfortable fit, three interchangeable, soft-silicone ear tips and two Comply foam ear tips are included with the headphones. When properly chosen, the tips allow as much as 26dB of noise isolation. A gold-plated 3.5mm jack makes the headphones compatible with most MP3 devices and phones, as well as laptops and stereos. A carrying case is included.

The Super.Fi 5vi features a built-in microphone for hands-free calling when used with cellular phones and an inline button that will answer or end calls as well as control music. The Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 and Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5vi are now available, priced at $170 and $190, respectively.
