ASUS seen expanding Eee Tops to 22 inches

ASUS' just-launched Eee Top all-in-one PCs will be followed up by significantly larger models in the near future, a claim by market contacts would indicate. Pointing out that the new 15.6-inch desktop is being outsourced to Quanta for manufacturing rather than ASUS itself, the alleged sources say that the outside contractor will also be used for a new range of Eee Tops with 20- and 22-inch displays.

No specifications are available beyond the larger screens, though their sizes would dictate a resolution of either 1680x1050 or 1600x900 depending on the aspect ratio. It's unclear whether ASUS would change the internal specifications beyond the 1.6GHz Atom, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive, though adding more RAM or a larger hard drive would force the company to license Windows Vista due to Microsoft's netbook requirements. A dual-core Atom 330 hasn't been mentioned.

When the larger all-in-ones would become available is unknown.
