iPhone apps: GL Golf Deluxe, Health Cubby, Edge

  • GL Golf Deluxe ($10) is a 3D golf game for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game supports up to four players and features twenty-two unique courses. The courses all feature all the obstacles golfers would find at a real course including water hazards, sand traps, trees and bushes.

  • Health Cubby - Social Fitness ($5) allows users to set goals and then track their progress towards achieving them. Users can team up with friends via Health Cubby's online sync to see each other's progress and a group weight loss chart. The application also has options for backing up and synching data or exporting it as a CSV file to be used with spreadsheet applications.

  • Edge ($6) is a game where players must guide a cube around various puzzles. The game includes 26 levels and 13 unique sound tracks. Edge has been designed to be challenging while also great for quick play sessions while users on the go.

  • BP Buddy - Blood Pressure Helper ($5) is a tool that can help users track their blood pressure. Users can enter blood pressure values with accompanying notes on stress levels. The data can then be displayed in a graph format with a range of 60 days which can be captured as a screenshot and placed in the devices photo album.

  • Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary ($25) is a guide that covers the most important definitions in medicine. The dictionary contains 35 000 entries that are stored within the application meaning the data is accessible even when no internet connection is available. The entries cover things from brand names to generic equivalents of common drugs.
