Screen guards for Touch
SwitchEasy has introduced several new protective screen membranes for the iPod touch 2G, including the PureProtect, PureReflect, and PureAntiReflect. The PureProtect screen guard is designed to offer the highest level of clarity, while protecting the screen with a scratch-resistant layer. The PureReflect features the same protection but with a reflective surface that resembles a mirror. The PureAntiReflect provides a smudge-proof matte finish that is intended to reduce glare from background light sources.
Each screen membrane is now available for $13. The packages include a microfiber screen wipe and a squeegee applicator to remove air bubbles when applying the film.

I'm already happy with my iPod Touch just the way it is. I don't think it really needs a screen protector for another 13 bucks. If Apple thought it needed a screen protector, they would have included one with it.
