iPhone apps: GeoTweeter, SoundMeter, Autocue

  • GeoTweeter (free) creates a map pointing at users current GPS location, or any other desired location and attaches a URL onto the tail end of a tweet. Users can also let their readers know what mood they are in by choosing different icons to use as pins on their location. GeoTweeter also allows users to create a list of their favorite locations for futures tweets.

  • SoundMeter ($20) turns an iPhone or iPod touch into a handheld sound level meter. Once a user has measured a meaningful sound level they can overlay the information on a photo from the iPhone's photo library, or on a photo that is taken directly within SoundMeter. The information can also be sent to the body of an email, or posted directly to a user's Twitter account. In addition to sound level information, SoundMeter captures date, time, and location information, as well as the user's comments.

  • Autocue ($3) is designed to improve the fluency of speeches and presentations. Speeches may either be written using the AutoCue app or imported over a WiFi network. Autocue will then scroll the speech on the screen at a speed defined by the user. The font size, line spacing, colors and playback can also be adjusted by users to their own preferences.

  • AirPhones ($7) allows users to play music from their iPhone or iPod touch on an Intel Mac computer over a WiFi connection. This allows users to listen to their music libraries without the need to dock or connect their device. The developers are promising support for Windows and Mac Universal soon.

  • ExZeus ($6) is a 3D action game for iPhone and iPod Touch where players must save the earth from an alien invasion. The game features a variety of enemies and bosses which players must defeat to save the world. Players have a choice of playing as three different robots each with their own abilities and weakness.

      re airphones..

      Looked at this ... it really allows you to listen to music on your PC from your iPhone/iTouch. ie: stream music from your computer to your iPhone. (The article seemed to indicate the reverse.. which would have been cooler)
