Can You Believe, Gratitude

  • iSkateboard ($3) is a directory for skateboarders that can help users find skate shops, parks, spots and news information that is relevant to their current location. The application currently features listings for over 30,000 locations across the world and gets its news updates from streaming RSS news feeds on sites such as Skateboard Mag, Transworld and Fuel TV.

  • Bard That! ($1) is a Shakespearean insult generator for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The application includes a library of almost 4 million insult combinations that are written in Shakespearean style dialect. The application features a simple interface and an option for emailing favorite insults to friends.

  • My CoinFlip ($1) simulates the tossing of a coin. The application features nine different coins to be tossed including a US penny, US quarter, US dollar, U.K. Pound, French Euro, Austrian Euro, Vatican Euro, German Euro and Spanish Peseta. My CoinFilp also includes sound effects and can simulate a coin toss by tapping the screen or shaking the device.

  • Can You Believe It ($1) includes a database of facts that are shocking or hard to believe. Users can open up the application each day to see some new facts or browse through previous facts. For example "More people are killed by donkeys annually than are killed in plane crashes."

  • happier.com gratitude journal ($1) encourages users to make a daily entry of three positive events and answer a simple 24 question assessment that provides users with a "happiness" score. Users can then track milestones and attempt to increase their overall happiness over time. The application also includes an introduction video from Dr. Martin Seligman, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania and an expert on the human emotion of joy.
