TLA Systems has released Twitkitteh: Cat Twitter, an iPhone and iPod touch application designed to make it possible for a user's cat to post their thoughts. Featuring a multi-paw interface shaped to represent a cat’s paw, the program enables the cat to post comments to Twitter on a variety of subjects. In order to have the cat send a post, users must create a Twitter account for their pet, and then simply have their cat press on one of the several spots of the paw that say comments such as food, play, sleep, and ruling the world.
Dexim has announced its Shu-Lip charger for the iPod shuffle 3G. The device provides a USB 2.0 connector on one end and a headphone jack on the other, allowing a USB-to-iPod connection for both charging and syncing the newly announced iPod, but without a cord between separating the two ends. The new charger features an aluminum casing designed to match the aesthetics of the Shuffle.
Apple's iPhone continues to push the limits of AT&T 3G network in the US with the company telling Silicon Alley Insider that it is frantically adding is adding wireless capacity in downtown Austin, Texas to deal with "unprecedented" demand by the South by South West (SxSW) conference on Web 2.0 trends and music. The publication claims that users are experiencing "flaky at best" service throughoug the area as thousands -- or even tens of thousands -- bring their iPhone 3G to Austin. AT&T said that it expects service to improve as early as Sunday night and to continue throughout the rest of the show.
