iPhone apps: PhoneCam, MemoryMania, Voodoo Doll

  • PhoneCam ($2) allows users to use turn their iPhone into a wireless webcam. Users can capture images with their phone and then transfer them directly to a website whenever an active internet connection is available. Users can upload their images manually or they can be set to automatically update at predefined time intervals. Users also have to option of capturing images manually or using a timer that can be set as frequent as every five seconds.

  • MemoryMania ($2) is a matching game where players need to use their memory to find matching pairs of cards. Players can choose from 20 different sets of cards and between two different game modes. There is a class memory match mode where players look for pairs of cards or a hide-and0seek game where players try and remember where pictures are and uncover them.

  • Voodoo Doll Revenge ($2) allows users to customize a voodoo doll and use it as a means for taking revenge on an enemy. Users can take a picture with the iPhone's camera or use a pre-exisiting photo from their Photo Library as a face for their voodoo doll. After the doll has been made users can stick pins in it, pull it apart or set it on fire. At any point during this process users can capture a screen shot of the doll and send it off to friends or family.

  • Let's Golf! ($6) is a 3D golf game for the iPhone and iPod touch that includes local WiFi multiplayer modes. Players can choose from four differnet animated characters each with their own strengths and weaknesses and then play among 63 different holes set in four distant locations, Fiji Beach, the American Mountains, the English Countryside and Scottish Lochs. The game features both an advanced simulation mode and a casual arcade mode for players of any skill level.

  • FanFinder - Sports Bar Locator (free) is a tool for finding sports bars where fans of a users favorite teams gather. FanFinder uses current location technology to determine a users position and then provides them with the closest sports bars. Users can further refine searches by indicating their favorite sports teams and the application will then only display the sports bars that cater to fans of those teams.
