iPhone apps: ConnectDots, Pocket Universe, Twist

ConnectDots ($1) brings the experience of connect-the-dot style puzzles to the iPhone. The application includes sixteen different illustrations and when the outline has been discovered using the dots one can fill in the picture with various colors. Finished images can then be saved and shared with others or used as wallpaper on an iPhone or iPod touch.Pocket Universe ($2) is a tool that can be used to help a user learn how to recognize various star formations. The application generates its sky display based on the users current location and the time of day with the additional option of activating a tilt mode which matches the view on the screen to the angle the device is held at.
Twist: Multiplayer Edition ($2) is a game that uses the iPhone's touch interface to create an experience similar to the popular game Twister. Players must touch points on the screen as they light up while not releasing previous points. This leads to situations where players are twisting their fingers around just to reach new points and to make things more difficult each point must be pressed within a certain time limit.
WordDigest English Dictionary, Thesaurus & Spell Checker ($2) combines a dictionary, thesaurus and spell checker tool all into one application. WordDigest has a built in dictionary that contains more than 147,000 words, IPA pronunciations for 87,000 words, a built-in hyperlinked thesaurus for more than 28,000 words and a built-in hyperlinked spell checker. There are also options for setting bookmarks for favorite words, maintaining a history of previously searched words and changing the text size.
WirelessDMS (free) allows users to access a server running the WirelessDMS iPhone Server application. A users can access documents stored on the server and view them right on the device or send them as an attachment in an email. The application can open most common file types and features full contact integration allowing users to easily select where to email various files.
