iPhone apps: Sudoku Grab, iddLookup, Talk Mail Pro

  • Sudoku Grab ($1) is capable of turning a picture of a sudoku puzzle from a newspaper or magazine into playable puzzle for the iPhone. The application can instantly solve any imported puzzles and also includes a collection of over 1000 predefined puzzles. Sudoku Grab also allows users to add tags and difficulty ratings to the captured puzzles.

  • iddLookup ($1) is a utility for looking up international dialing codes. The dialing codes can be sorted by both the countries name and in numerical order. When a user finds the desired entry they can access additional details for the country such as its zone, country code, national prefix and international prefix.

  • Talk Mail Pro ($10) is a tool that can read emails out loud. Talk Mail can connect to any regular email account and access all of a users messages. With the tap of a button the application can then begin reading an opened message and users can customize what sections are read and the speed and pitch of the voice reading.

  • QuickVoice Recorder (free) is an audio recording application that features one touch recording, adjustable recording qualities and voicemail. The recorder allows users to quickly make an audio recording which can then be synced with the QuickVoice desktop application. QuickVoice makes use of the built in accelerometer by integrating a flip-able interface so that the application can be used with the microphone at the bottom or top of the device.

  • iCantWakeUp ($1) is an alarm clock that requires a math question to be answered before it can be turned off. The application features a large and easy to read interface and options for setting the difficulty of the math question.
