Bookworm for iPhone
PopCap Games has launched a port Bookworm for the iPhone and iPod touch. Players build words from a series of letter tiles on a grid, attempting to make the longest and most difficult words possible for the greatest points. Complicating matters are burning tiles, which force a game-over if not used before they hit the bottom of the screen. The iPhone port is said to have all the features of the Mac version, along with some additional ones.
Gamers can now shake an iPhone or iPod to scramble letters, tap into an all-new bonus bookshelf filled with bonus words, and view a display of the best words they’ve spelled. By turning a handheld sideways, gamers can also view a detailed word history and their bookshelf status. Basic features of the game offer over 170,000 words from the Oxford English Dictionary, a worldwide scoring system, and an unlimited amount of levels.
Bookworm is a $5 download from the iTunes App Store.
