iPhone apps: Aw Craps!, TwittMS, SixPack App

  • Aw Craps! ($2) is a simulation of casino craps for the iPhone and iPod touch. Users select their chips, and then tap the area of the board to place the bet on. If the area only takes one type of bet, chips will just be moved to that area for them automatically. The application also includes a unique dice rolling method that lest users control the direction and strength of the throw.

  • TwittMS ($2) is a Twitter application designed for tracking direct messages. Users can open up TwittMS, select a friend and send a message which is then stored in a chat-style view. The application also allow users to group their favorite contacts together and includes support for landscape typing.

  • SixPack App (free) includes a database of more than 100 exercises that have been categorized by muscle type such as, chest, back, legs and shoulders. Each entry includes step-by-step instructions that include photographs and tips on how to vary the exercises. The application also contains a handy collection of eight pre-configured workout routines.

  • iShred LE ($1) is an electric guitar application for the iPhone and iPod touch that includes an amp simulator and eight effects pedals. Users can apply one effect on top of the amp simulator that includes both clean and overdriven settings. After customizing their tone players can begin creating a song using the onscreen fretboard and the applications recording capabilities.

  • Shift ($2) is a puzzle game where players move blocks around by tilting their iPhone or iPod touch. Levels consist of multiple blocks each with their own goal meaning players need to use the environment to hold blocks while others shift. Levels can be completed in various ways but the goal is to finish each level in the fewest moves possible.
