iPhone apps: iQuarterback, Doomsday, Number Rumble

  • iQuarterback ($1) is a football game where players take the role of a quarterback and must hit various targets around the field. The game features three different difficulty levels, college, pro and all-star along with a practice mode for improving skills. Players have one minute to score as many points as possible and then they may compare their scores to other players around the world with the online leaderboard.

  • Doomsday Terminal ($1) is a simple game where the players goal is to keep the world alive for as long as they can. The game is constantly in a countdown to the end of the world and players must enter a code every 108 minutes to prevent the Earth's destruction. The timer continues to count when the application is closed allowing users to still use their phone while the game is in play. The developers are also currently running a contest for a $200 gift card to see who can be the first to last for a week.

  • Number Rumble ($3) is an educational math game for the iPhone and iPod touch geared towards kids between the ages six and ten. The application includes several modes for learning different questions and then testing them in an order defined by the user or a random order. Number Rumble covers basic equations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • Diffle ($1) displays a game-board of nine tokens and the player must choose three that are the most unlike each other. To progress from level to level players must make 7 matches within the time limit. Nine levels have been included and as players progress through them the timer slowly becomes more restricting. Also included are tips to help improve scores and a worldwide leaderboard.

  • TwistLink ($3) is a puzzle game where the players goal is to line up 3 or more tiles of the same color and orientation to clear them. After the tiles are cleared new ones fall in to fill the space and if these tiles link upon landing players will get an additional combo bonus. The game starts off easy with only there colors to match but as players progress through levels new colors are introduced and the difficulty increases.
