Worms, T. Purs. on iPhone

Two high-profile games have been formerly unveiled for the iPhone and iPod touch. The first is a planned conversion of Worms, the turn-based strategy game by Team17. Players control squads of cartoon worms as they attempt to annihilate each other using mundane weapons, such as shotguns and grenades, as well as more exotic ones including exploding sheep and bananas. The iPhone version is said to be nearing completion, and changed to include features such as pinch zoom.

Newly available at the App Store is Trivial Pursuit, an adaption of the famous boardgame. The new version includes 3,500 questions, divided into 2,900 text and 900 picture items. Play is further split into Classic and Pursuit modes; in multiplayer, the game supports four-player matches via Wi-Fi or six-player matches when hot-swapping. The game is a $5 download.

I think you mean "formally unveiled", maybe.

Uh... yep, MacNN ain't what it used to be. It's now chock full of typos, inaccuracies, and blatantly obvious press releases under the guise of "Reviews"

I can't wait to buy this game. If they've added WiFi multiplayer (or at least they're planning to implement BT multiplayer once OS 3.0 is out), I'll be in heaven. Here's one game that's been screaming for an iPhone port since the SDK announcement.

It's true what the rest of the work thinks of Americans - there, shotguns and grenades, are merely mundane everyday weapons.

The Trivial Pursuit graphics look amateurish and pixelated.
