MySecrets ($5) is a tool for securely storing data on an iPhone or iPod touch. The application can store various notes and allows them to be organized into a customizable folder-based data hierarchy. The application uses 256-bit AES encryption to protect its contents and requires a password on startup that is not stored anywhere, nor is there a way to recover it. Several safety features are also included which allow users to set how many times an incorrect password can be entered before an action, such as deleting the database, is taken. Slacker Radio (free) allows iPhone and iPod touch owners to create their own music stations that are based on their favorite artists and songs. When playing a song the interface displays a picture of the album art and details about the track including artist and song title. Users also have access to detailed artist biographies, album reviews, and song lyrics for all of the tracks and bands available within the service.
Horseshoes Pro ($2) is an interpretation of the classic outdoor game for the iPhone and iPod touch. Players throw their horseshoe by flicking their finger toward the stake at the end of the pit. The game includes several modes including, Tournament, Arcade, Ringers and Play-N-Pass. In the Tournament mode players must beat seven computer opponents in a row, while in Arcade mode the goal is to hit multiple stakes that change positions. Ringers gives players a chance to see how many ringers they can make and Play-N-Pass allows two human players to compete on one device.
FretBoard ($6) is a reference tool that can be used to locate notes, chords, and scales on various stringed instruments. The application includes support for 96 different tunings and for instruments that range from 3 to 14 strings such as guitar, bass, banjo, violin, ukulele, mandolin, etc. Fretboard can display scales and modes in every key and includes support for jazz, blues, and other world music scales,
Mover (free) allows users to send images and contacts to nearby iPhone and iPod touch devices using a WiFi connection. The application detects devices on the same network and assigns each one to a side of the screen. One user can only be connected to four other devices at a time but as other leave the connection their spots are automatically filled. Users can load images and contacts into the main display and then flick them to an edge of the screen to transfer them to the corresponding user.
