Lithium Console 5 network software suite enters beta

Lithium Console 5 beta

Lithium Corp has launched a beta version of Lithium Console 5, a set of network, server and storage monitoring applications. Lithium provides support for industry standard SNMP and proprietary monitoring protocols, such as those used by Apple’s Xserve, Xsan, and Xserve RAID devices. The beta version offers improved incident reporting and e-mail alerts, a new Module Builder application for creating device modules using third-party SNMP MIBs, and the ability to view network, server and storage monitoring data from Lithium Touch on the iPhone and iPod touch.

MobileSyncBrowser update adds iPhone OS 3.0 support

Vaughn S. Cordero of VSC/Macsupport has released a new version of the iPhone backup-browsing utility, MobileSyncBrowser 3.0. The software is used to keep a local copy of the information contained in the iPhone’s SMS and Notes applications, as well as the recent call history. In the latest upgrade, compatibility has been added for the upcoming iPhone OS 3.0. Support for iTunes 8.2 has also been improved, providing both new and enhanced previews, along with better performance and stability. Available localizations now include US English, German, French and Spanish.
