PhoneView 2.2 update

Ecamm Network has released PhoneView 2.2, an update to its Mac software for accessing and working with files on Apple handhelds. PhoneView allows users to export music, contacts and photos to a Mac, as well as call histories and SMS messages. The newest version adds support for iPhone 3.0 firmware, and the playback and management of voice memos.

Existing features let users add text to the Notes app by dragging in files like Word and PDF documents, or turn a device's free storage into a drive for backup or transfer. Files stored this way cannot, however, be viewed when using an iPhone or Touch. PhoneView is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later, and available as a free seven-day demo. The full version is priced at $20.
