Vita R2i iPod dock debuted

Vita Audio has announced the R2i, a tabletop stereo system for iPods or other media devices. The device features an improved DAB+ tuner, along with support for standard DAB broadcasts and FM with RDS data. Two 3.5-inch drivers provide the sound output, with 20 watts of nominal power. Users can control the device using the illuminated RotoDial, while track and clock information is displayed on a negative LCD.

The R2i provides options for tone settings and 3D sound processing. Along with the iPod dock, the player provides front- and back-side auxiliary inputs and a headphone output. A compact remote control is also included in the package.

Vita expects to begin shipping the R2i in July, with suggested price of £280 (~$460 USD). Available finishes will include walnut veneer, white or high-gloss black. [via Macworld.co.uk]
