is no liver rejection problems. It's said that they usually don't do liver transplantation if there is cancer present in any other parts of the body, so Steve may likely be cancer-free. I guess the news media is going to have a field day with this story. Lots of speculation and little facts about Steve's health and liver transplant survival rates. I might as well get ready for the doom and gloom news media talk.

I wish Steve Jobs all the best and hope he returns to continue to Apple. But, I think it should be pointed out that he's clearly left the company in great shape with the right leaders at the helm. The products that have been coming out are consistent with what we have come to expect from Apple and there's no indication of slowdown. Steve's condition was such a panic issue when it was learned he was having some medical issues - that time has past and turns out the sun still continued to rise.

Hopefully this will not become another media blitz with a bunch of rumors and speculation. Again, Get Well Soon.

Yes, how dare they charge for their content. Don't they know that all newspapers are supposed to deliver their content for free.

I'm discouraged that all we have so far is two un-sourced reports.. If Jobs had wanted this public, he'd have taken care of it himself, or Apple would have... This type of invasion of privacy really is ghoulish and unprofessional... If you feel the same, let WSJ know.. I have.

re: slider - I'd agree with you more if the people he left in charge weren't ruining the Pro laptop line-up to please consumers... and I doubt Jobs would have let ATT rain on the 3GS announcement and launch the way they have...

But I digress..

Regardless... I hope Steve Jobs recovery is successful and he gets time to enjoy his health with his friends and loved ones. Apple, and it's fans, (and yes, even trolls here) can wait.

While I certainly only wish for the best for Jobs and his health, it seems many are missing some of what's going on here.

Bemoaning all the ink you're going to be seeing on this, all the speculation and prognostications? Jobs own fault; if he had come clean from day one, almost NO speculation or hype would be possible.

Think the media is invading his private life? Yeah it would be for me and you, but this is a very public person (his choice) who heads a very public corporation (his choice). As such, you have to give up a little of that privacy... certainly with medical conditions that speak directly to your ability to run said public company.

Lastly, there ARE all sorts of SEC rules about this. You know, those pesky rules that IF they had ben actually applied might not have led to sure a severe recession... you know the ones responsible for millions losing their jobs?
