iLuv today quickly followed Belkin by providing official details of its own remote adapter for the newer iPod shuffle. Already teased, the IEA15 gives any minijack earbud or headphone set the same controls as Apple's remote, both for click actions and for volume. The add-on is also confirmed to add full remote control to any other 2008 iPod as well as the iPhone 3GS.

Citi Mobile (free) allows Citibank customers to manage their bank accounts while on the go. After logging into an account the user can view all of their accounts, pay bills, transfer funds, find Citi locations, and contact customer service. The application uses 128-bit encryption to keep all of the data safe and lets users select which iPhone's have access to an account.

Game developer HeroCraft has introduced an upcoming game, Protoxide Racing, through a new promotional blog. The site offers a brief description of what to expect within the title, and a four-minute prototype video. The game is planned mainly as a 3D iPhone title, but may also come to other mobile devices.

Apple has won a collection of new patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office, linked to a wide variety of products. Among these is the Apple TV, for which Apple has been granted a patent on the set-top's remote. The remote is able to identify expected light sources in the midst of ambient ones, such as reflections.

Belkin outs remote adapter for 3G iPod shuffle

Belkin this morning addressed the complaints of those wanting to use more advanced headphones with Apple's third-generation iPod shuffle and launched its Headphone Adapter for the music player. The simple add-on gives any typical earbuds or headphones with a 3.5mm headphone jack a remote much like Apple's own pack-in model, including the ability to invoke VoiceOver. It's not known if other iPods receive similar features.
