iPhone apps: ACTCurrency, Tic Tac Toe, Task2Gather

  • ACTCurrency ($1) is a universal currency converter that retrieves daily exchange rates for over 190 world currencies. The app also includes options for adding additional currencies but these must be updated manually. Calculations are performed as they are typed and can be converted either way. A recent update has changed the source of exchange rates to a more reliable one and improved overall startup times.

  • Tic Tac Toe: GS9 (free) allows users to play a game of tic-tac-toe against a friend or a computer. Players can compete against two difficulties of computer or link up with a friend via a bluetooth connection. Tic Tac Toe features a normal version of the game along with a timed mode forcing players to make a move within a set time.

  • Task2Gather ($1) allows users to keep all of their personal, family and business tasks in a web cloud so they are always accessible from an internet device. Tasks can be shared among family members, friends or colleagues and can be used as a to-do or shopping list or a collaborative tool for task management at work. Task2Gather also includes support for Push notifications allowing users to receive alerts when changes any changes are made.

  • NFL 2010 ($8) is a football game that features authentic teams and players. The game includes different modes for playing a quick game or going through an entire season. Players are provided with a playbook containing over 200 plays and can control individual players by using the virtual on-screen controls.

  • Motocross ($4) is a 2D sid-scrolling racing game with options for playing with others across a wireless network connection. In the game players control a Motocross racer by tilting the device back and forth to shift the riders weight. Motocross currently includes 40 different levels with four new ones being added each month.
