ShareAppScreen widget

ShareAppScreen has released its self-titled Dashboard widget that allows users to manage their iPhone home screen from their computer. The widget additionally allows users to share views of their iPhone or iPod touch screens with select contacts, while providing access to iPhone apps. Users can drag and drop their favorite apps into an inbox to make them more quickly accessible. If new apps are downloaded and synced to the phone, the widget will only load information from the new apps.

The widget provides various ways of navigating through the iPhone, such as clicking small buttons at the bottom of the iPhone screen or using keyboard shortcuts. Users can also rate and comment on their contacts' apps and videos.

The widget is available from the ShareAppScreen website for free.

    Doesn't "manage screen"

I've been playing around with this for a few minutes. I am 99% sure that the phrase "You can manage your iPhone home screen by Dashboard Widget." is a result of a language barrier. It appears to have no effect on the apps or icons on your device, just on the widget.

    Hokus pokus

Doesn't work. I have a 3GS. The video shows this widget working just fine. It shows many apps on different pages in the video but I find that none of my apps appear in my widget. Something happens when my phone is plugged in and I lose service. Right now the widget simply does not work and there s nowhere to go for support. Great idea though! It's been on my wishlist for quite sometime and hope to see it in iTunes someday.

    what's the point?

ok, I can now see my apps after running automator. I really don't get the point of this thing. What we need is a better way to organize our apps not to just simply show off our apps in an iphone-like interface.
