Gesture Music, Notitas

  • PocketMeter ($2) can be used to measure distances by bouncing sounds off of objects. Distances can be measured by pointing an iPhone's microphone at an object and tapping on the screen. PocketMeter then emits sounds and measures the time it takes for the echo to return. The developers claim the software is capable of calculating distances between 8 inches and 13 feet within 0.4 inches of the actual distance.

  • Simplify Photo ($1) allows users to remotely access a photo library from an iPhone or iPod touch. Users can browse photos within the library by folders, timeline, GPS location, or use iPhoto Events, Faces, or Places. Images can be saved to the devices library at any time and viewed as thumbnails, individual photos, or a slideshow.

  • Aneurysm ($1) is a puzzle game where players have to drag an orb around and prevent it from being hit by other orbs. The colored orbs are constantly bouncing around the screen and grow in numbers every couple of seconds. If the players orb is hit by one of the colored orbs they are presented with an option to resume the game by warping back in time a couple of seconds.

  • Gesture Music ($2) allows users to control their music library with touch gestures. Moving a finger left to right will skip to the next track, and a right to left gesture will skip to the previous track. Volume can also be controlled by dragging up or down, and music can be paused by tapping on the screen.

  • Notitas ($5) allows users to write notes and post them on a virtual cork-board. Notes can be edited by tapping on them, including options for changing the font, and background color. The software can also use location data to store the latitude and longitude with each note allowing users to see where each note was created on a map.
