DSLR Camera Remote updated

onOne has released DSLR Camera Remote Professional v1.1, adding support for Nikon DSLR cameras and the Canon EOS Rebel T1i along with new features. The app requires the Canon or Nikon DSLR camera to be linked with a WiFi-enabled computer running DSLR Camera Remote Server software, a free download. DSLR Camera Remote can remote fire the camera, can adjust settings like aperture, shutter and ISO and offers image review and Live View preview for cameras that support live view, all from an iPhone or iPod touch.

Version 1.1 adds auto-bracketing support for generating High Dynamic Range -- HDR -- images, which blend image detail from different exposures. There is now burst-mode support for cameras that support the feature, allowing one trigger to fire a rapid sequence of shots, for shooting action images like sports. Auto focus is now available during Live View with a video preview on the iPhone, and and the DSLR Camera Remote Server software now supports Lightroom auto import.

Other enhancements include a new user interface, a new naming system for downloaded images to prevent accidental overwrites and better RAW+JPEG support -- the system now sees RAW+JPEG files as a single unit. An updated user guide has also been launched.

The DSLR Camera Remote Professional v1.1 works with iPhone software v2.2.1 or later. The server software works with Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, with a minimum 1GHz processor and a recommended 2GB of RAM. It also works with Windows XP SP2 or Vista. The server software is free, while the app is $20. A limited version of the app that only supports firing the camera is available for $2.
