Opera 10 update
Opera Software has introduced the latest version of its web browser, Opera 10. Three main features in the update include an enhanced browser interface, a new compression technology for dealing with slow network speeds, and improvements to the browser tabs. With the added network support the browser is capable of compressing pages to lower the amount of data transferred, and increase the users browsing speed. For the browser tabs users can now view full thumbnails of all their open tabs, as well as customize the size of the tab bar by pulling down or double clicking on the handle.
Additional features provide users with a built-in spell checker that supports up-to 51 different languages, and an integrated e-mail client that allows users to organize and search through both e-mails and contacts. The browser also comes with an automatic performance management function which takes into consideration how much memory is currently being used, and optimizes the browsers performance to fit the computers capabilities. Lastly, the new browser enables users to both alter the size of their speed dial and add a picture as the background.
Opera 10 is a free download for users, comes in 43 different languages and supports Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems. It also has an automatic update function which will ensure users always stay up-to-date with the browsers current version.
