NAVIGON updates MobileNavigator GPS app for iPhone

NAVIGON has launched a second, free update for the North American version of MobileNavigator for the iPhone. The app turns an iPhone into a GPS unit, with maps for the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. It works in both portrait and landscape modes, and has features such as intelligent address entry, signpost display and lane assist. It also displays warnings when exceeding speed limits.
The new update features text-to-speech voice guidance, as on a dedicated unit. It also adds automatic day/night adjustment, e-mail-based location sharing, and integrated iPod features for playing music within the app itself. MobileNavigator is $90 from the App Store, and requires iPhone 3.0 firmware or better. After the initial purchase, no subscriptions or additional fees are charged. Similar modifications have been made to the European and Australian versions of the app.

Intelligent address entry? I'm sorry but I REALLY wish that it did. It doesn't understand any, not one single one of the addresses in my contacts list and the way you have to enter addresses, a single part (state, city, street number) is not in ANY WAY intelligent.
Intelligent would be letting me use my contacts in my address book. It would also allow me to type in "1313 Mockingbird Lane, Los Angeles, CA" and be able to parse it all by itself. It should even understand, "l.a., ca" or "la, ca" based on Intelligent logic that anything that ends with ", ca" would have to be about California so anything before ", ca" that looks anything similar to la or l.a. would have to be Los Angeles.
THAT would be intelligent addresses. So I would change that part to, "pretty stupid address...".
Everything else I agree with so far.

It does exactly what you "wish" it could do. It accesses your contacts in your address book flawlessly.
